
Chicago, Ill. – The Chicago Mustangs of the Major Arena Soccer league have been sold to Grand Partners LLC owned and operated by a local Chicago investment group. The Chicago Mustangs, founded in 2012, are a professional indoor soccer team competing in the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) and the Premier Arena Soccer league (PASL). The Mustangs are the 2014 Ron Newman Cup Champions as well as the 2014 US Open Minifutbol Champions and the MASL2 champions for 2018.
“We are excited to announce the sale of the Mustangs to a group that has great interest in soccer development. The new investment group has over 20 years of expertise in sports team management” said Armando Gamboa, former owner and coach of the Mustangs. “They will have my full support and availability for the continuous growth of this franchsie.”Gamboa added.
Indoor soccer has been growing steadily in the USA and the amount of children playing soccer has increased steadily the past 30 years. “ We are looking forward to a great inaugural season as our ownership group takes control” stated Dominic Turcotte VP of Operations of Grand Partners LLC.. The Mustangs will have an amateur team in the PASL and a pro team in a new indoor league to be announced soon. “Our goal will also include to have an outdoor team for the 2020 season in a league yet to be announced as we evaluate the choices” added Turcotte.
